Agassiz Honors History With 100-Year Celebration
Imagine life in 1913 – New York’s Grand Central Terminal opened, the zipper was patented, the federal income tax was signed into law (with a top rate of 7%), and the site of Wrigley Field was still a seminary and a coal factory.
That year, women’s suffrage demonstrations filled the streets of Chicago, Charlie Chaplin began his career, and AgassizSchool was founded!
Ten decades later, Agassiz says “Cheers To 100 Years” with their celebration held on May 16. It included a gallery of student projects, an examination of medical advances, a rendition of “Happy Birthday” in Arabic, and a school-wide flash mob demonstration.
