CHICAGO, Ill. – To remain accessible during the holiday season, state Rep. Sara Feigenholtz, Congressman Mike Quigley, and Alderman Tom Tunney will host a Holiday Open House at their shared office, located at 3223 N. Sheffield, Suite A, in Lakeview on Monday, December 16 from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m.
“Our goal is to be a one stop shop for area families who would like to share ideas or receive help with local, state, or federal issues,” Feigenholtz said. “The office is open and available year-round. If you would like to stop in and visit after work, we would love to see you.”
Several healthcare In-Person Counselors (IPCs) or “navigators” from AIDS Foundation Chicago will be on hand to assist people with their new health insurance options with the Affordable Care Act. One of the goals of Illinois’ IPC program is to make the purchase of health insurance more simple and transparent for consumers.
Feigenholtz, Quigley, and Tunney are also encouraging residents to help local pantries, hospitals, and shelters by donating food, toys, and warm winter clothing. All donations are being accepted at their office on an ongoing basis during the month of December.
“Our service office that represents the 5th District in Congress is proud of the assistance we can provide constituents here at home,” Quigley said. “The Holiday Open House is a terrific opportunity for the community to learn more about the issues we can assist with and share their thoughts about the work we are doing.”
“We are excited to showcase our recently combined 44th Ward Service Office,” Tunney said. “Please join us onMonday, December 16 to tour the office, meet our staffs, and share some holiday cheer. “
