Re: Community Presentation for Proposed Redevelopment at 2448 / 2462 N Lincoln Avenue
Dear Neighbor, I am writing to invite you to join my office and the Wrightwood Neighbors Association (WNA) to review a proposal by Blitzlake Development to redevelop the parcels at 2448 North Lincoln Avenue and 2462 North Lincoln Avenue. The applicant seeks to construct two four-story buildings, with approximately 22 residential units and 5,000 square feet of ground level retail on the 2448 North Lincoln Avenue parcel and 9 residential units and approximately 1,200 square feet for ground level retail for the 2462 North Lincoln Avenue parcel.
My office will be present at this meeting to monitor the discussion, take notes, and record your feedback.
WHAT: Redevelopment Proposal(s) for 2448 / 2462 North Lincoln Avenue
WHO: Hosted by Alderman Michele Smith and Wrightwood Neighbors Association
WHEN: Wednesday, June 1st at 6:00 pm
WHERE: Stanley Manne Children’s Research Institute (Formerly known as the Lurie Children’s Research Center) 2430 North Halsted Street First Floor Conference Room (Wolfson Room)
The applicant seeks a Type 1 zoning amendment and a zoning variance for the northern parcel to reduce the rear-yard setback on the structure. Therefore, this parcel would require City Council approval as well as go before the Zoning Board of Appeals. For the southern parcel, the applicant is seeking a rear-yard setback and Special Use permission, as the parcel falls within a Transit Oriented Development, and would appear before the Zoning Board of Appeals. I hope you can join my office and WNA to engage in a direct dialogue with the development team to gain a better understanding of this proposal and obtain answers to any questions the community may have. In the meantime, if my office can be of assistance to you, please do not hesitate to contact us via email at yourvoice@ward43.org or at (773) 348-9500. In addition, for status updates on the proposal please visit my website at www.ward43.org
