Lincoln Park Conservancy Docents Needed

The Lincoln Park Conservancy and the Chicago Park District are seeking volunteers to join our docent program. Docents foster a greater appreciation and understanding of the Lincoln Park Conservatory and Gardens by interpreting the plant collections and history of this treasured Victorian glass house, the formal garden, and the adjacent Old English-style Grandmother’s Garden.

Registration deadline is September 23, 2016

Beginning on Saturday, October 1, 2016, new docents will begin six training sessions on consecutive Saturday mornings from experts on interpretation, the Conservatory’s collection of palms, orchids and ferns, and the history of the Lincoln Park Conservatory and Gardens. If you love talking to people about nature, gardens or history, and want to learn more about the Lincoln Park Conservatory and Gardens, this is the opportunity for you! Docents interact with the public and give tours to groups on weekends and optional weekdays. Be an ambassador for the Lincoln Park Conservatory and meet people from around the world! 773-883-PARK www.LincolnParkConservancy.org
