The Damen Elston Fullerton work continues as underground electrical work is still underway on Damen Avenue. Concrete restoration on several portions of the intersection should begin next week, with the hope of switching traffic on Damen the following week. Work on Elston Court also continues, with concrete pouring work continuing into next week. Tree planting and other landscaping on the new portion of Elston will begin next week as well. Underground work in this area requires crews to navigate several other major utility pipelines that run underneath the intersection; including water, gas, MWRD and fiberoptic cables.
